Autumn Entertaining Ideas

We are well and truly into cosy season, the nights are colder, and it is time to dig out the warm knits, soft snuggly blankets and of course enjoy home cooked comfort food. There are plenty of reasons to get the family together this autumn. From Halloween parties and movie nights to Bonfire Night fun, put your hosting skills into practice this season.

Comfort Food

There is nothing better than the smell of home cooking, and there are various easy one pot recipes to try, from warming pumpkin soup starters to hearty stews and homemade pies. If you are having a Halloween party, then have fun with spooky themed finger foods and sweet treats. Perhaps you have friends coming over for Bon Fire Night, then traditional hot dogs or a delicious slow cooked chilli are ideal as your guests can help themselves.

Autumn Tablescape

If you enjoy hosting dinner parties, then create a gorgeous autumnal tablescape. Opt for rich oranges and browns mixed with neutral tones. A few simple pumpkin decorations or dried foliage can look effective and create a warm and inviting dining space. Serve up a delicious charcuterie selection on our Grazely white marble serving board or Bosco wooden serving board as a centerpiece starter to entice your guests. Be sure to include scented candles in your dining room décor.

Get the kids involved in pumpkin carving or make a night of it and invite some friends over for a crafting evening. You can create autumn wreaths, decorate pumpkins with paint or make your own pumpkins with pretty fabrics and stuffing. Catch up over a few glasses of bubbles and experiment with some interior crafting.
